politically correct

A little while ago I took a gamble and put some blog links on here of people I don't personally know. Up until a month ago all my blog links were friends and acquaintances - then I added Rick and Monte. Every red-blooded Canadian knows Rick Mercer the former star of This Hour has 22 Minutes and the current host of the Rick Mercer Report. But unless you live in Medicine Hat or Ottawa you may not know who Monte Solberg is.

Monte is a very funny man. He is a federal politician living in Medicine Hat who is with the Conservatives. I have enjoyed reading his insights for the past few months. Currently he is on a rant about the CBC (You've got to love a guy who can write a good rant or two about the CBC). One of my favourite entries in his blog is called Day 4 Winnipeg. Monte eloquently describes a day in the life of a politician.

I have been enjoying Monte for a while and hope you might like him too. That reminds me I need to look for a job in Medicine Hat so I can move there and vote for Monte.

p.s. I will be doing some more cleaning up around here. I discovered on my holidays that my clock is useless unless you live in the Pacific timezone. Who living in Saskatchewan wants to know what time it is in Port Moody? And here I thought it was such a cool thing that I found! Also, if you have been to the bottom of the page you may have noticed that Ronan is 3 months 3 weeks and 3 days old today.

Actually, your clock has been useful to me several times because I can always figure out what time it is where you live in case I am thinking of calling at 8 a.m. my time or something like that!! It is only hard to remember because SK doesn't go on daylight savings time and I can never remember whether you are two hours or one hour different than this time!
