Apologies to Jimmy Buffett

They're wasting away again in Parliamentville,
Searching for their lost billions of bucks.
Some people claim that there is no one to blame,
But I know it's the PM's fault.

Mr. Stephen Owen, M.P. Vancouver-Quadra wrote me again today. Wow, do I ever feel special! The Liberals have wisely spent more money from the public coppers to inform me about the Budget. ( I wonder which line in the budget is frivilous spending to help with Liberal public relations - they didn't mention that expense in the letter) It has only been thirteen days since Mr. Owen's last letter. At this rate we might have the budget surplus spent before the Liberals leave office.

In this letter Mr. Owen (let me remind you that he is not my MP, nor is here spending Liberal Party money to send his propaganda) tells me about the wonderful ways the Liberal Government plans to spend our money in BC. For Example they are going to invest $75 million over five years to stengthen health care in Canada. Just for comparison - the BC government is increasing health care spending by $624 million in ONE year Not Five!

I have chosen not to post an image of this letter as it looks very similar to the last one. But I will post information from Mr Owen's own website. He talks about how he has helped to control spending.
Nonetheless, we cannot ignore the problems in Ottawa. As Minister of Public Works last year, I worked with the Prime Minister to cancel the sponsorship program, appoint the Gomery Commission, initiate lawsuits to recover $41 million of misappropriated funds, refer cases to the RCMP, remove four heads of Crown Corporations and the Ambassador to Denmark, and make sweeping changes
to financial accountability mechanisms.
Since Mr. Owen's seems to enjoy communicating with people outside of his riding, so I thought that I would provide more contact information so that he can enjoy the communications of even more people.

Great blog I hope we can work to build a better health care system. Health insurance is a major aspect to many.
