Ahhh ... stupidity

A Canada Post employee has complained that steps are too high. OK, I can understand a realistic standard, but apparently this postal worker has complained about many steps on his/her route. Canada Post was out at the offending steps with a ruler measuring the enormous steps the postie had to encounter. Most owners of the offending steps on the route "fixed" their steps - people either put in a second step or lowered the step.

So what kind of a monsterous step are we talking about? It's 30 cm tall! That's right, you can measure it with the ruler your kindergarten teacher gave you. So it must be about 300 30cm steps to get to the house, right? Nope, just one.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think there should be an unreasonable expectation for letter carriers. But, this letter carrier is unreasonable. It just furthers Canada Post employees' reputation to go postal.

I wonder if they're related to the lady in the States that sued McDonald's because the hot coffee she ordered was, well, hot.

I can understand the need for some sort of regulation on what letter carriers need to "endure" in the course of their duties, but this is just ridiculous!

Oh well, with the growing advent of email and e-billing, perhaps this particular letter carrier won't need to worry about their "trials" much longer...

Way to go, Canada Post! This will really endear you to your few remaining customers!
