Sweeps Week

It's that time of year where the television finalle rules the tube.

Tonight Tom is going to win Survivor (If he doesn't I'll take my foot out of my mouth tomorrow)

Soon Jack will have been awake for 24 hours again.

Last week had a perfect ending and an unfitting ending. The perfect ending was in the Amazing Race - Uchena and Joyce winning the million while Ron and Kelly are still finding the airport. The disappointment came on friday when the writers/producers of Enterprise dismissed Jonathan Archer and his crew with a wimper. Enterprise left the air as the inferior sibling of The Next Generation. Archer and Crew deserved a better send off than simply a holodeck program from TNG. I am going to miss Archer, T'Pol, Tripp, Phlox, Mayweather, Reed and Hoshi. I am looking forward to reruns of seasons 2 and 3 when I didn't have cable. The final moments of Enterprise were worth enduring Riker though. We learned that the monologue at the begining the other Star Treks "these are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise..." are from a speech Archer gave that created the United Federation of Planets. The show ended with the famous lines spoken by Captains Picard, Kirk and Archer as each of the three generations of Enterprise fly out into open space.

OK all you non Trekkers / Trekkies can start reading again.

One last final episode - The Apprentice - THERE IS NO WAY TANA CAN WIN!!! I can't wait to hear what her team has to say to about her to the Trump.

Just think in a few weeks we will be discovering reruns that we never knew existed.

You nailed it all. Though I'm not a big Trek fan, I see what you mean. I'm really pulling for Tom and I don't expect to see Tana win either.

Enterprise sold me last season, I couldn't get enough, my wife and I refused to miss an episode.

We started this year well, but with the news of the cancellation and the lack of the overpowering story line like last year, my interest fizzled. I am a Scott Bakula fan and have read some of his interviews online, but I lost this season because it suddenly became rushed to finish. They should have planned how many season at the start and stuck to it (al Babylon 5).

I find it difficult to remember when any particular show is on, and then actually have time to watch it...

However, I've become a huge "Scrubs" fan. Sadly, NBC has announced that it is not in the schedule this fall but "will return sometime".

If you haven't yet been won-over by the Zach Braff-led comedy, you should definitely check out the re-runs or Season One on DVD (May 17).
