It finally happened!

I have never been a huge fan of Jeopardy. Don't get me wrong, I'll watch it if nothing else is on, I just don't make an effort to watch it. Our house has been bigger fans lately with the whole Ken Jennings thing and all. We watch hoping to see someone else win, I guess to watch history being made. Well we watched on Monday and it was no contest Jennings won hands down, we missed Tuesday, but pondered "I wonder what happened last night." Well, this morning we heard the imposible had happened, Tuesday night Ken was beat. The stinger is, that the daughter of the lady who beat him asked for his autograph before the episode. Even though it might be a few months before I watch Jeopardy again, I'm going to miss the cool ways Ken wrote his name on the lightboard. Congratulations Ken on making the 2000s version of trivial pursuit, and being a Jeopardy answer sometime in the not so distant future.

Well, Todd...I have to say it's been a little heartbreaking to know that Ken's reign is over. I was sad on Wednesday as I knew there was no reason to turn on the tv. I've never been a Jeopardy fan, but Stewy is...and Ken made watching bearable. Thank you for your tribute to him on this site!

Todd... I haven't watched Jeopardy for years, but happened to be at a friend's house (mooching cable tv) Tuesday night and we just saw the end of the episode. Actually I was telling my good wife during that episode that the only time I ever watched Jeopardy was back when I lived with Aunt Carolyn(& Stewart).

2.5 million $$$$ makes being a trivia geek seem a lot more respectable doesn't it?

Would this be a good time to share that Stewart and I learned to knit with Mom (and Holly!) watching Jeopardy and mom's tape of Another World? Ah, that was a fun year. I'm so bummed I didn't get to see the episode that Ken got kicked off! Oh well, it will likely come up in re-runs again. Do you think there's any chance that Ken just got tired and faked it? Nah, not likely I guess. I bet Alex was sick of him though! That's what he gets for doing his own taxes.
